About these terms

This website is published by General Hauling & Junk Removal, 430 Main Street Suite 100, Agawam, Massachusetts 01001. Using this site, booking work with us, or taking part in our text messaging program means accepting what is set out here. If you do not accept it, please do not use the site or the messaging program.

Quotes and pricing

Prices published on this site are the prices we charge. Our minimum fee is $89 for a small load under 200 lbs. Quotes given from photographs or a description are confirmed on site before we load anything — if what we find differs materially from what was described, we will requote and you are free to decline.

Additional charges apply only in the circumstances we publish: dense materials such as concrete, dirt or tile; special items such as pianos and large televisions; and long carry distances or multiple flights of stairs.

What we cannot take

We are not licensed to carry hazardous materials, including chemicals, paint, fuels, asbestos and similar. These are also prohibited in our dump trailers, along with unsecured loose debris. If you are unsure about an item, ask before you book.

Dump trailer rentals

Renting a trailer requires a valid driver’s license and a credit card for the security deposit. The deposit is authorised at drop-off and released after collection. Each trailer has a maximum load capacity and a published weight allowance; loads over the allowance are charged at the published rate per additional 1,000 lbs.

You are responsible for the trailer while it is on your property, for loading it safely and within its capacity, and for keeping prohibited materials out of it.

Access and property

You are responsible for making sure we can reach the items and that we have permission to remove them. We take care not to damage your property, and we are fully insured, but we cannot accept liability for pre-existing damage or for damage that is unavoidable given the access available.

Cancellations

Let us know as early as you can if you need to cancel or move a booking so we can offer the slot to someone else.

Privacy

What we do with the information you give us — what is collected, how it is used, who it is shared with, how it is kept, what happens to a mobile number, and how to have it corrected or deleted — is set out in full in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms: generaljunkhauling.com/privacy-policy.

In short: your details are used to quote and carry out the work, they are not sold, rented or traded, and no mobile information is shared for marketing. Read the privacy policy for the detail, including the messaging terms it cross-refers to.

Liability

The information on this site is provided in good faith and in general terms, as guidance about junk removal, cleanouts and trailer rental. It is not an inspection of your property and should not be relied on as one. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

General Hauling & Junk Removal operates in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and these terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms, this website, the messaging program or the work is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Massachusetts. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

Use of This Website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only — to learn about our services and to contact us. You agree not to misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of it, interfere with its operation, scrape or copy it by automated means, or use it in any way that could harm General Hauling & Junk Removal or anyone else.

Unless stated otherwise, the content on this site — text, graphics, logos, photographs, and layout — belongs to General Hauling & Junk Removal or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, or redistribute our content without our written permission.

We work to keep this site accurate and current but do not represent that it is complete or error-free, and it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. This website may link to third-party services; we are not responsible for their content or practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

SMS / Text Messaging Terms

General Hauling & Junk Removal operates a text messaging program so customers and prospective customers can reach us and receive service updates. These SMS terms form part of these Terms & Conditions.

• Program description and message types. Messages relate to the service you asked us about: replies to your questions, quotes and estimates, appointment confirmations and reminders, arrival and job-status updates, invoices and receipts, and follow-up about work we have completed for you. If you separately ticked the box consenting to marketing messages, we may also send occasional promotional offers, seasonal reminders, and news about our services. You can opt out of either kind at any time.
• How you opt in. You consent to receive text messages by giving us your mobile number and asking us to contact you — for example by submitting a request form on this website, by ticking a text-message consent box where one is provided, or by texting us first at (413) 758-5362. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
• Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on your conversation with us and on any active or upcoming job.
• Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. General Hauling & Junk Removal is not responsible for charges from your carrier.
• How to opt out. Text STOP to (413) 758-5362 at any time to cancel. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and we will send no further texts to that number. You can opt back in at any time by texting us again.
• How to get help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at (413) 361-5335 or info@generaljunkhauling.com. Full support details are at the end of these Terms.
• Carrier liability. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on effective transmission by your mobile carrier.
• Supported carriers. Our program is supported by major mobile carriers in the United States. Carriers are not responsible for the content of messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

The mobile information you share with us, and your text messaging consent, are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of this website or our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
